Numbers subject to some shuffling, the basic 43XX occupied 43XX, 53XX and 63XX. Several 43XX were given 1’ cast extensions to the front buffer beams to improve riding and renumbered as 83XX which proved successful, however they reverted to 43XX and 65 of 53XX then had the same conversion to become 8300 - 8364. Subsequent erosion of 43XX by conversion to Grange and Manor led to reabsorbtion into 53XX. 9300 - 9319 had Collett side window cabs and were later renumbered 7322 - 7341. GWR 322 outside frame Beyer Peacock 0-6-0 (Armstrong) with Belpaire firebox, Society cast kit GL1 + HB76. Oakwood’s book on the GWR standard gauge 0-6-0s has a drawing as plan 75. Numbers 322 - 341 and 350 - 359. Rebuilding and renumbering between 1878 and 1890 resulted in 322 - 327 becoming 0-6-0ST and apart from 324, they later became 0-6-0PT. GWR Armstrong 517 0-4-2T, Malcolm Mitchell etched kit. This is a complex class and the kit is a variant with side tanks and does the two longest wheel bases, 7’ 4” - 7’ 8” with inside bearings on trailing wheels and 7’ 4” - 8’ 2” with outside bearings on trailing wheels. Some were built as 0-4-2ST but became side tanks later, and 4 different wheel bases where used, the shorter three with inside bearings on trailing wheels. The two shortest wheel bases became extinct when rebuilt as side tanks. Eventual numbers with long wheel base 517/8,520/1/3-9,531,533-7/9,540-4,546-556/8,561-6,568-576,826,828-833,836-841,843-849,1154-1165,202/5,215-7,219-222,1421-1425,1428,1430,1432-5,1437,1439-1444,1465-72,1474-9,1482-1488.
